School Board

The Baboquivari Unified School Board is committed to enhancing educational opportunities for our schools and classrooms. As policymakers, this board is responsible for providing a sound, basic, quality education for all students by promoting rigor and creative academic performance for the improvement of student learning, all in an open dialogue with mutual respect, working with the superintendent and local government, securing sufficient resources, and serving as advocates for the district. We invite you to attend our meetings, and we welcome your support and input.

Meetings

In order to allow members of the Baboquivari Unified School District community or interested patrons to address the governing board we will hold a call to the audience for a half (1/2) hour following the approval of the agenda. We will allow each speaker three (3) minutes each.

If you would like permission to address the governing board on an agenda item, please use this form to submit your request.

Persons attending meetings of the governing board or addressing the board shall observe rules of propriety, decorum, and good conduct. Personal attacks upon board members, district staff, or students are not permitted. A discussion of confidential student matters is also prohibited. The president may terminate a speaker’s privilege to address the governing board if, after being called to order, the speaker persists in improper conduct or remarks.

Baboquivari Unified School District is now streaming our regular board meetings on YouTube. 

We hold regularly scheduled board meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. We will schedule additional meetings as necessary. Unless otherwise noted, we hold our board meetings in the boardroom of the Baboquivari Unified School District #40 administrative building in Sells, Arizona. The official site for posting of agenda is the display case in front of the administrative building. As a courtesy, we also post the agenda on this website.
