#RedforEd Teacher Walk Out

As a result of the Arizona Educator Association #RedforEd vote to walk out in support of higher raises for certified, classified, and to reinstate capital funds back in to our state funds, Baboquivari Unified School District teachers will be walking out in support of their fellow educators on Thursday, April 26, 2018.

It is our understanding in speaking with our teachers that their plan is only to be out on Thursday, therefore classes should resume by Friday, April 27, 2018. We will be sending a School Messenger notice out by Thursday afternoon if we have to close until further notice. Please take a moment to read our superintendent's letter to parents and families for additional details on our district's plan.

Pre-Kindergarten Registration

Pre-kindergarten registration is on Thursday, May 3 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. or on Tuesday, May 15 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Indian Oasis Elementary School. Come take a classroom tour, meet our awesome staff, and much more! Avoid the last minute rush this summer, and enroll now! Please see our pre-kindergarten registration flyer for additional details.

Kindergarten Round-Up

Please join us for our kindergarten round-up on Friday, May 4 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. or on Thursday, May 17 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Indian Oasis Elementary School. There will be introductions to our awesome staff, fun activities for our future kindergarteners, classroom tours, parent information sessions, and much more! Please see our kindergarten round-up flyer for more information.

Governing Board Openings

Baboquivari Unified School District has four seats that are up for election. The filing period to submit petitions will open on July 9, 2018. School board members are responsible for broad, futuristic thinking, minute analysis, and decisive action in all areas that affect students and staff in their schools. The focus of everything board members do is on providing the best education possible for the children in their community. Please see our governing board openings flyer for more information.
