A Message from Our Superintendent

S-Ke:g tas (Good Day),

It is my sincere honor and pride to welcome you to Baboquivari Unified School District. We are an up and coming district that is making significant changes to our overall effectiveness. We are doing this through the following initiatives:

  • Highest certified salary schedule in Arizona
  • Highly effective recruitment and retention of staff
  • Excellent benefits
  • 100% digital curriculum
  • Highly technical classrooms
  • Student laptops for every student
  • The only Native American school district in the United States with systems accreditation through AdvancEd
  • Partners with University of Virginia supporting turnaround schools
  • Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)
  • Highly involved parents and community
  • The best students in the entire state of Arizona

I can brag all day about our initiatives, but it is truly the students, families, and staff that have given this community the pride and success that it deserves. We will continue our efforts to ensure all of our students are college and career ready through systematic checks to support their academic as well as their social/emotional growth.
